Title: A Bricking Good Time Date: March 26, 2021 Pax: Cheesesteak, Van Gogh, Posthole, $5 Footlong, The H.O.G., Ziggy Stardust, Razzie, Lamb Chop, Snake Eyes, Greenspan YHC’s Qs at Urban Assault seem to coincide with inclement weather. This morning appeared to be headed to more of the same when YHC was woken by the thunderboomer…
It became clear early on Thursday that the weather for today’s beatdown was going to be a concern. YHC received a few separate inquiries on whether or not we would be in the parking deck to stay out of the elements. My answer was: as I am not an animal, I have no intention of…
It’s been a minute since YHC made it to assault the urban-ness of downtown Dashland. It’s mainly The Singing Cowboy’s fault. He insists actually doing this F3 thing well and reaching out to YHC for some 1st and 2nd F on Friday’s that usually involve running. Or he runs and I gasp for air and…
Stretch Mosey up to the stage. SSH (for a bit) OYO 5 Merkins, SSH 5 Goiners, SSH x 30 sec 5 Jump Squats, SSH 5 Burpees Mosey to parking lot at top of Hill. SSH OYO 5 Merkins, SSH x 30 sec 5 Goiners, SSH 5 Jump Squats, SSH 5 Burpees Bear Crawl across the…
As I arrived 30 seconds prior to launch, as usual, I noted that the hardcore, high end performers were the totality of the PAX, so “ruh roe Elroy,” this could be a bad morning to be me. The 32 degree mist was backing off, but I made the decision to beat a hasty retreat to…
Hovering around 24 degrees with a brisk wind the PAX timidly began to exit their warm cars at 5:25 AM. There was an FNG -Brandon who posted completely solo this morning with no EH……..reminds me of another PAX I know. More on that later. We all exchanged pleasantries and got after it at 5:30. The…
Well… this week has been brutal thanks to 4 killer beatdowns courtesy of Huckleberry, Greenspan, Drip, and Burns. Time to muster what strength I have left to put on a show worthy of what they dished out earlier in the week… just a month ago, YHC led a “22” based workout at Flatline, and the…
A call was put out on Slack and Twitter for pax to bring some bricks with them for today’s beatdown, and thankfully some obliged. YHC put 10 pairs of bricks in the back of my car, thinking that would be way too many, and the large turnout this morning ended up using every last one…
One or more of these things may have happened at Urban Assault this morning: Copious amounts of snow to navigate in and around Sledding down Pilot View & Forsyth Cross-country skiing around Bailey Park A security guard starring ominously at a group of men ranging from the ages of 29 and 43 An ill-advised EC-run…
PAX: Post Hole, Cheesesteak, Lamb Chop (WB), Drip, Red Baron, Root Canal (WD,Q) As I exited my trusty steed with 45 seconds to spare, I calculated that this was a grizzled, veteran, high achieving PAX ready to mix it up and give it a big push. The question was whether I could rise to the…
We met at the fountain where hard work is put in. Today was no different! The Q was 30 seconds late due to some crazy downtown street lights (never taking that route again) but the Pax picked up the slack and started SSH. The Q jumped in like a sweet set of double dutch…
YHC got the Substi-Q by default from Burns as a result of no other PAX volunteering to Q. Happy to post to UA, for what is hands down the nicest view in the city at night/morning. YHC put the EH on about 10 guys pretty late on Thursday… and thankfully, 1 showed up! Warm-o-rama …
