BAM voluntold me weeks ago that I would have the Q today, and then as a courteous site Q does he messaged me on Monday with the reminder. I put up the preblast with a reminder for the pre-ruck at 0445 which was attended by Singing Cowboy, Woodpecker, and BAM, and the pre-run at 0455…
YHC wasn’t feeling it this morning, but got up for an EC run anyway. Then nobody else came to EC run and it was spitting rain so I sat in my car and pondered how nice it would be if this workout were at Biscuitville instead. That was actually the first thing I said to…
It was a long drive out to Lewisville from the Launchpad, so I had to make it worth it this past Friday. 23 minutes on Apple Maps was only a 18 min gloom zoom, but a hike nonetheless. YHC put out the preblast along with a call for an EC run, and Schlitz & Frosty…
Come join me at Old Town Park (4550 Shattalon Dr) for WIB. Maybe you can pick up your new WIB headband from Zephyr. Maybe you can get a decent workout in with some pals. Maybe you’ll think to yourself, “Hey, this is a pretty good spot for a WIB, I’d do this again.” Maybe you…
2nd Q of the day, this one noticeably warmer than the first (but still pleasant enough!). Longer WoR this evening – SSH, Imperial Walkers, Whirlies, Abe Vs, Willie Mays Hays, Seal Claps, Jack Reachers, Michael Phelps. Mosey to the shaded picnic tables beside the upper softball field. YHC had a deck of cards and had…
Despite my limerick implying there would be some distance covered this morning, three others still showed up in the gloom to get their weekly dose of a high tempo beatdown. Frosty even joined me for the 2 mile EC trek, citing a need to start thinking about thinking about training for Bourbon Chase. 11 weeks….
Humid ass morning. Damn good company. Tough beatdown. Good lord it’s humid. I walked out of the house to head over for the EC run (more on that in a minute) and struggled to close the door behind me for how thick the air was. It’s as if I were fighting to close the door with my children holding the other side of…
No fun or long-winded intro, no time. WoR – SSH x15ic, Abe V x8ic, Whirlies x15ic, Imperial Things x15ic, Jack Reachers x10ic, Michael Phelps x10ic The thang – circuits. Superfly put out the all-call earlier this week, so YHC hopped on a TRQ Q for the first time in a long time. I had a routine I wanted to try out from F3 Hickory, and TRQ was the perfect testing ground for it. WoR: SSH x12ic, Imperial Walkers x12 ic, Whirlies x12ic, Michael Phelps…
