To Run or Not To Run That is the Question

6 pax (about 5 more than YHC expected) gathered at Jamison Park for BBBC.  It was a cold, rainy morning and the only reason YHC was there was because of Q responsibilities.  It was one day after the somewhat annual Marble Arch Marathon, typically an old man rest day and did I mention it was cold and rainy.

Upon arrival I saw TSC sitting in his truck.  So much for going home.  However, I missed his message on Slack offering to go for coffee.  Others arrived and there was definitely no turning back.

YHC did have an offer – we could run the proposed routes or in honor of the old wrestling room style of running, we could do wall runs at the shelter.  Sweet Tea, Workbench and Woodpecker (the pax who have not been around very long) decided on running a route on the greenway to Robinhood and back.  TSC, Harden and YHC (the pax who have been around a while and know that yes, we are always outside but there are workouts that can be done under shelters) opted for the walls runs.

We agreed to meet back at the launch no later than 6:15.

All did that.

Can’t swear others made it to Robinhood and back but they said they did.

TSC, Harden and YHC performed 15 minutes of 45/15 tabata style wall runs.  We then did two laps around the parking lot – Watkins Glen style (not all left turns) then we tabataed again until we saw headlights of others in the parking lot.

Workbench was only other besides YHC to have also participated in Marble Arch Marathon – strong work by a fairly new pax who is fast becoming a regular at many AOs

Good to see Sweet Tea out for another BBBC

First time meeting Woodpecker.  Also had a good conversation with him afterwards – he is getting thatF3 is not just about the workout. Yeah, we keep trying to tell everybody that.

Thanks to Harden and The Singing Cowboy for joining me for a rain averse running type workout – don’t know about you but my calves were sore Saturday.

Site Q Sour Mash whose idea it was to run from Jamison Park was AWOL
