Despite GPS and a general idea of where I was going, YHC still managed to hit the Purgatory parking lot on 2 wheels about a minute late. Fortunately, the Pax was patient as 6 early risers were there to great me. Our numbers grew during warm-a-rama as Linus arrived, then Toot and finally Spicolli. Toot…
Facts I’ve learned from running OGs: Winston is hilly Hanes Park is at the bottom of a bowl Hills are unavoidable One time I even designed a route to avoid any major hills and I found a route with a super low elevation…but people complained because I took them through a construction zone (such divas)….
It was a pleasure to Q at Distillery for my first ever boot camp. 12 Pax had an obstacle course style workout. Cinder block carry, slam balls with weights from 5lb to 40lb. Sandbags with weights ranging from 5lb-70LB. Battle Rope was fun for all. The Q was nervous at first little off with cadence…
A nice sampling of the Dash Pax posted at Urban Assault for a spring like March morning. We had 2 DR to even out our numbers. After a nice stretch the Pax ventured to the hill between Fair Witness and Barcelona Burger Bar. (The spot was pre-approved via text by Spicoli at 5:20.) Here we…
Remember that video game Skate or Die? I was inspired by my big 3 dice to bring a workout to Alcatraz that I did at Mayhem. So instead of Skating and such, how about Die or Die with 3 dice? It was the perfect pun. Warm-O-Rama Mission Statement / 5 Core Principles SSHs 11x Arm…

Nantan at that time, Cobra encouraged me to get on the dance floor and see who else shows up. Thus began the illustrious…
The time has come for my reign of terror to end. It is such an honor to hand the keys to Frostbite. This redwood has shown constant investment, leadership, and willingness to keep making this group better. I know he will do great things. For my last workout as Nantan, YHC shared his own core…
It was a 29-degree morning, and YHC heard the alarm, remembered all his ‘its-cold-hell’ gear was still in the dryer, and moved into action. Tights, check. Ragnar hoodie, check. Heyday Guitars beanie, check. Gloves are in the car. Let’s go. Came in on two wheels, blasting the new Green Day (it’s only OK) with a…
This Morning was my VQ and #Alcatraz was where it went down. Fresh off some horrid illness my son brought home from school, I was thankful to have some version of my voice back this morning. The PAX present were helpful and forgiving in communicating and guiding the beatdown along with my voice squealing and…
