YHC had the keys this #AM at #Mayhem. Not MayHAM, Not MayHim, nor any other play on words. Really like what @Rollback is doing – making workouts fun again and just a little effort to build camaraderie! T-Claps, sir! Knowing @Rollback was going to be there, and potentially @Zima, I knew I had to bring…
Man these are perfect mornings here lately. Just a hair chilly but keeps the body feeling great. I decided I didn’t wanna do a regular EC run as I had knocked out the Ardmore rah 10k on Monday, so today was a ruck it or f*** it kind of deal. Both Palin and I had…
When Turnover put out the bat signal for a substi-Q sometime last week I was in a good mood and wasn’t looking at my calendar, so I happily helped out my good friend who has been generous to me in a pinch before. I should have inherently known the Falcons were playing on MNF the…
YHC popped out of bed this morning without an alarm – rare, then headed to the bathroom, like all of us middle-aged men do. As I was getting ready, you know, primping myself and listening to my morning podcasts, something felt off. A quick glance of the watch to see how rushed I would be…
Cruiser reached out last minute for a sub; YHC made some efforts to fill, but was unable to. Of course Wooly Bugger offered to rehash his golf q from a couple of weeks ago, but he’s already q’d here four times with another coming up. Nah, the site Q needs to rehash this one. I’ve…
Hiroo Onoda was a Japanese soldier who lived and fought on Lubang Island for many years after WWII ended. Refusing to believe that Japan had surrendered, he hid in the jungle and conducted raids on local villages for many decades after the war. The 7 PAX today hid on the Strollway and conducted raids…
Launchpad has received a makeover – a newly minted parking lot complete with painted spaces far exceeds in quality the gravel lot that was there prior. Unfortunately for the visiting pax, the gates were closed so we had to park across the street and play frogger to get to launch. That ought not to be…
Welcomeeeee….. Toooooooo… Scavenger-Trazzzzzzzzzz ! So, with a Q on the Date of 10-4 ( holy cow…if you look up “this day in history for 10-4, a WHOLE lotta stuff happened on that day. ), so I didn’t want to go the history \ trivia route this time. I was also thinking something Truck Driver… or…
Wow…a whole month late with a Backblast. Has to be a record? Better late than never? It was the opening weekend for the NFL, and yes, there had already been football themed workouts the week before with College Football getting kicked off….but can you really ever have too much football? ( NO ) Let’s begin….
When YHC was voluntold about Qing #Purgatory on October 4, he thought long and hard about what sort of theme to build the workout around. The pressure was really on after @PonyExpress’ elaborate theme last week. Given that today is 10/4, YHC settled on building a theme around trucking, truckers and all related things. As…
Mayhem was my first post in September 2014. It has been a fast fun filled (see what I did there) 11 years with many memories – good, painful, humorous. There was no way to cover all of them but YHC thought it would be fun to visit some spots of the AO we don’t see…
Warm-O-Rama SSH, Abe Vigota, Whirlie w/a clap, arm swirly things forward and in reverse, and Michael Phelps. Afterwards, mosied on over to the track. Greenspan requested lighting because he doesn’t like tripping on tree roots, and that request was denied due to lack of Q preparation. The Thang Part 1: At the track, YHC called…
