A great turnout this morning, and decent weather for what was, apparently, a run on challenging terrain. All that can be said for the Q is that his responsibilities were fulfilled. Routes were dutifully supplied in a timely manner (albeit from the 2015 archives…) and he was present to lead the circle of trust. What…
I noted that the last time I hosted Conspiracy it was August of 2020. It was warmer then… A few old guys, namely Burlap and Mutton turned out to make feel better, well there is CherryPie, but he identifies as a 34 year old.. We may have moved the average age close to 40, maybe….
The PAX “Runned” in two parts, first running to Mt. Tabor High School, gathering at the main entrance and taking time to express needs for prayer including the students, teachers, the family of the student killed and the shooter’s family. Zuck added a request for Chompers nephew a Reagan student who we understand killed himself…
There is nothing wrong with recycling a route, and that is exactly what we had here. The last time the OG route was attempted Brookstown was closed under Salem Parkway, some of us tromped through the mud, smarter PAX took a detour. This time, someone managed to build an apartment building in the way… but…
When the 5:15 crew launched it looked like we were in for a very light turnout, but in the end a good number of men turned out for a somewhat balmy if misty morning. Generally both groups took a counter clockwise tour of down town. Everyone got to start out climbing West End, found a…
The Thang: The PAX ran exactly 3.43 miles Leaving Speas on Polo Right on Reynolda (for a blissful half mile downhill that will make your forget you still have to get back up to Polo) L Wake Forest Drive (you forgot how much of the climb back to Polo happens here…) L Allen Easley R…
YHC harkened back to Winkies gone by for inspiration and found my first Q notes from 2014. Grateful to have been part of F3 for that many years! In my absence from Conspiracy it seems as if the way to Education Hill had become darkened, obscured and unfindable. Yet it was found again this morning…
Four old guys and Balco linked up to Run this 3.1 miles course. Right on Polo Left on Ransom Left on Stanton Right on LynnDee Right on Woodbriar Right on Ransom Left on Loch Right on Oakland Right on Fairlawn Left on Ransom Right on Polo There were some hills! I only kept up with…
Thankfully the count for Tractors this AM was 0. YHC had dutifully pre-driven the course to confirm Brookstown was reopened but forgot to scout out the Strollway which appears to still be closed. Either that, or they are still out there…sorry… A group of us set off first and were nearly immediately greeted by the…
Knowing the Lion’s preference for red meat, the Spamalope was calm but wary as he entered onto the plain, and so it was with YHC as he returned from a long season of running to Q a boot camp work out. But not to worry as all the faces were friendly and familiar. Shout out…
