Blind Date had scheduled his Q for this date before having to get unexpected hernia surgery recently, so YHC agreed to a last minute switch and had to rummage through a big stack of cardboard to find a suitable beatdown. Decided on a tabata workout, which we got to after a quick warm up. The…
YHC had been trying to decipher Adobe’s erudite and enigmatic preblast from a couple of weeks ago that had somehow led us to the second Distillery site nearby. There were a lot of numbers and equations which had YHC pull out his old college textbook before just letting grok do the explaining. Turns out we…
YHC and Tonka made our way north to one of the newest AO’s in the region, which we’ve been told isn’t THAT far and really does have a lot to offer. Transcript and Brittani arrived to make it 4, and we got started as follows: WARM UPS On our six for leg stretches downward and…
Knowing that YHC would be competing with Q school this Saturday, decided for a ‘Grad Q School’ theme. I consulted “Dr. Grok” on the idea, which he quickly wrote up and titled “The Dissertation Breakout” – “perfect for a prison island grad school twist with physical challenges symbolizing the academic grind and Alcatraz’s harsh environment”….
Has been a while since YHC has posted at Distillery and it brought back fond memories of the IPC, so dusted off a highly modified version from one of the challenges a couple of years ago. A solid crew of 9 showed up to enjoy the festivities. WARM UPS SSH, Imperial Walkers, Abe Vigoda, Whirly,…

It went something like this: WARM UPS: SSH / Downward-upward dogs/ Abe Vigoda/ Whirlies / Arm Swirly Things / Michael Phelps PARKING…

YHC always enjoys getting out to the Village and was good to see a quorum of regulars assemble in the gloom. The weather was heading back to normal for January but still an improvement over last week’s arctic wave. Beatdown went as follows: WARM UPS: SSH, IWs, abe vigoda, whirly, up and down dogs PARKING…
