Urban Assault is one of YHC’s favorite AOs but unfortunately I am not a regular there so decided to stick close to the starting spot in order to not to get everyone lost. I had also made the irrational decision to go for the IPC this year at the last minute , so was recovering…
Has been a while since YHC has posted at VI. After arriving early to lay out the cones in the parking lot for the main event the WeFoCo stalwarts arrived to get our week started off strong. WARM UPS Some slow stretches, upward and downward dogs, before continuing to the track. Moseyed around the track…
Froman and YHC arrived right at time so we quickly got started with the 6th Core principle before moving on: WARM UP Stretches (touching toes, up and down dogs) Whirleys, Arm Swirly Things, Seal Claps BLIMP to the Blocks (Burpees x 5, Lunges x 10, Imperial Walkers x 15, Merkins x 20, Plank Jacks x…
Realizing that July 14 is Bastille Day in France – their national holiday and the official ‘start’ of the French Revolution – YHC decided to try a themed workout for a change. The Bastille was a fort and prison and a symbol of the monarchy of Louis XVI and his tone deaf wife Marie Antoinette,…
By chance YHC had the Q at Distillery the same day that Huck had WIB in WeFoCo, a repeat from last time I paid a visit to the AO a couple of months back, so I wasn’t sure if we would enjoy another #coffeebeatdown (courtesy of Sour Mash according to Distillery rules?). Tonka and I…
While finishing up the backblast for yesterday’s Distillery beatdown, YHC discovered to his embarrassment that he had forgotten to hit publish with this previous one from Iron Throne a few weeks back. WARM UP Decided to skip SSH and start off a little differently with a mosey down the hill and back to the start….
YHC and company (Froman and Tonka) rolled in and the Q descended from the passenger side just a few seconds before official time. The entrance, and the Q’s confusion about up and down dogs, amused the PAX. WARM UPS SSH / IS / arm swirly things / down dogs and up dogs head to the…
For anyone unfortunate enough to have to grade student assignments (one of the more tedious and thankless tasks that exist), one often finds houses getting cleaner, yard work getting finished faster, and other acts of procrastination, all to avoid said task. Knowing that YHC had the Q at Village Idiot, and remembering the baseball diamond…
YHC knew that this was going to be a COLD 20 degrees so tried to put together something to keep us warm while not running. We started out with some stationary cardio to warm up fast: 1 minute each of: SSH Mountain Climbers Fast Feet Then a mosey to the rock pile to select walks…
(Apologies for the late submission, this has been in draft mode – apparently you have to hit publish) This was YHC’s first Q at The Iron Throne. Palin and Burns set off for a run and the rest circled up to get started. WARM UPS Quick broga stretches (down and up dogs) SSH / IWs…
