8 hearty Pax posted on a chilly morning to see what I had to offer at TRQ. I made a joke talking with Goofy about “I don’t Q much any more. I’m more like a Celebrity Guest Q”, and the title of this backblast was decided. Thang Warmarama – roamed around the parking lot, stopping…
14 smart pax ditched the ol fartsack this morning and posted to a barely publicized Mongoose-led Purgatory. It was hot. It was steamy. But we still did work. A lot of work. Thang Warmarama – the usual stuff like SSH, IW, squat, merkins, ASTs, Whirly’s Got the Clap, etc. Took some extra time so Argyle…
10 Pax posted on an unusually cool June morning for a non-running beatdown at TRQ. Some regulars were missing but I’m going to assume they posted elsewhere and did not stay in the fartsack. Thang Warmarama of the usualy type for about 5 minutes Mosey toward the Lido deck to the lower parking lot. …
12 Pax posted with the promise of no hills and being tested. Not for Covid, but to see if we were fit enough to be a Grade 6 US Soccer Federation Referee. In order to qualify for Grade 6, you have to have experience reffing games and pass this fitness test. We waived the experience…
12 Pax ditched the fartsack and headed out into the cold and rain to run 6.3 or 4.2 miles, depending on what they wanted to do. Except for Bev who ran 6.3 and then 6.3 again later because he’s a beast like that. All Pax toured lower Buena Vista and Country Club Estates today,…
9 Pax noticed my return to Slack with the preblast I posted for today’s Redline. Don’t get excited Van Gogh, I’m still not going to be a regular user out of general principle (#curmudgeon). The past couple of Redlines have been a combo of hills and track work, and I was tired of hills. …
11 Pax posted at the most convenient RnG AO for me this morning. While Mayhem is closer, Meadowlark is too dangerous to run on. So, Leinbach Park works. We took a relatively straightforward route that did not cross Robinhood and had low elevation change. The Pax seemed satisfied with it. After running, we did some…
Three foursomes made tee times at Purgatory today. They were treated to 15 holes of misery as we meandered around the AO, stopping for 2 minutes of pain each time. Warmarama was the usual stuff. This is a patented and copyrighted Mongoose workout, so I won’t be posting the full details, but know that…
A hearty 20 pax showed up for OGs and Tractors today, and we proceeded to run since we were under the 25 person outdoor gathering limit. The OG route was a classic Mongoose route, including Forest, Arbor, Graylyn, and downhill (sort of) finish on Reynolda. Looked like everyone was flying at the end, so mission…
Gangstas and Tractas gathered in the Gloom on this fine Friday the 13th for 6 mile and 4 mile routes as designed by YHC. Now, given that it was Friday the 13th, it did occur to me to make some very “scary” routes and, indeed, that would have fit my profile nicely. HOWEVER, I decided…
