Hobbit Meals

YHC arrived to a beautiful morning on the Shire, I mean Parliament. It wasn’t long until the Fellowship started to arrive. We even had a couple of hobbit size PAX, Recess and Animal. We had a Palin sighting and he looked very limber on one leg. Of course no injury would prevent him from bloviating during the workout, which all enjoyed. Schlitz was very wizard like and posted at Parliament and Flatline; very well deserved tclaps for this accomplishment. Thanks to Pony Express for his Super Banana Man during Mary. Also, thanks to Adobe for use of his speaker so we could listen to the soundtrack from The Fellowship of the Ring and imagine that we were on an adventure. Great to see SuperTrooper out for his fourth in a row at Parliament. Tclaps to Cruiser for bringing his two sons out again, when is Recess going to Q? Van Gogh is definitely in a rut for Mary, should we rename him American Hammer? Madoff was definitely enjoying the theme and music. Crash and Ziggy of course were consistent as always. Welcome to the former FNG Little Mac, hope to see you post again soon.

Warm-O-Rama

The Thang:

As YHC noted on the preblast, the workout would be themed to the Seven Hobbit Meals.

First of course is Breakfast. 7 deconstructed burpees: squats, leg thrusts, merkins, leg thrusts.

Then comes Second Breakfast. Again 7 deconstructed burpees: squats, leg thrusts, merkins, leg thrusts.

Next is the aptly titled Elevenses where we of course did 11s: SSHs and Plank Jacks as we traversed the parking lot and stopped at each cone.

The PAX thought the next meal was Lunch. Close, but it is in fact Luncheon. What do Hobbits like more than PO-TAY-TOES? So of course we do Squat Potato: PAX form circle facing out, a very tight circle and hold the squat position while we pass around a block. We did this a number of times and incorporated another block.

PAX were not even close to being full, so we moved along to Afternoon Tea, which there is no better way than Princess Tea Party: PAX partner up and form two lines. At the start of the line, the first group does 7 Pattycake Merkins while the rest hold the People’s Chair with their partner. We SLOWLY moved down the line and determined this was too much and everyone pretty much modified.

After this is of course Dinner, which we had a great spread of 7 reps of HOBBIT. Everyone loved this. Bropees were a little awkward and I don’t think anyone were skaters since the best spin was probably only a 270

  • I ron Mikes
  • T ony Hawk Burpees

Last but not least was Supper, which was a nice serving of Apple Turnover: Bear Crawl 2 spaces then Crab Walk 2 down the length of the parking lot.

We then put our blocks back and back to the start for Mary. YHC started out with LBCs and let the PAX choose each subsequent exercise. Madoff was very eager and asked to do Mountain Climbers because he thought the music sounded ominous like Frodo and Samwise were going to Mt. Doom. Sadly, the music was the soundtrack from The Fellowship of the Ring, so was probably when they were in the Mines of Moria.

Announcements

Forgive me for the brief and straight to the point BB.  Much like all the PAX were at this AO. We met in the usual spot and voted on the music of choice.  Did some SSH and then moseyed to pick up some blocks.  Each PAX was to get a block of choice (some were…

8 Pax posted, of which 3 had requested tunes for the playlist this morning. No one complained (about the music), so I assumed all were satisfied. The beatdown was designed to work on strength so the focus was on fatiguing specific muscle groups. The Thang Warm-o-rama: The usual for @Goofy Mosey to blocks and everyone…

    Day 2

Wait…..what? Didn’t we just do this? That’s right boys to men…. PAX. You’re friendly neighborhood Adobe here. And another glorious day in the gloom it was. YHC arrived a “little” early; wanted to get everything set up and ready to go. 60 Minutes and Sour Mash were already at Parliament when I arrived. I quickly…
