YHC has recently been inspired to dig into the Qs of yesteryear. Among the memorable beatdowns of the past in YHC’s wrinkled noggin was Litterbox’s WIB on Buena Vista (https://new.f3winstonsalem.com/2018/11/buenos-dias-buena-vista/) which was a remix of Thistle’s OG Q (https://new.f3winstonsalem.com/2018/03/the-hills-are-alive-barely/). YHC had not been sucked into F3 for the original but was here for LB’s version. …
YHC has been pining for Spring Break for some time now…the colder temps and the monotony of early sunsets doesn’t affect me the same way or to the magnitude that it does others, but I have been dreaming of sunnier evenings in the backyard for a little while. This week’s taste of warmer weather has…
YHC had the keys this AM to Workout-In-A-Bag aka #WIB. I originally planned to have this at Ardmore Baptist but picturing the below in the damp climate scared me. We embraced the suck under the safety of the #PiedmontPlazaParkingDeck aka the parking deck across from Publix on Miller St. A great spot that is underutilized!…

YHC has now put on this workout on the Thursday closest to my F3 birthday for 7 years (1/12/18 was my official start date). Read to the bottom for a summative evaluation of this workout, including past BBs and PAX totals! It’s f*ckin cold. 22 degrees, feels like 9. Put on your extra layers and…
A perfect Halloween morning. A great plan to put Edgar Allen Poe’s iconic short story to work. Elite company. A recipe for excellence, and the finished product was as so: WoR – Abe Vs (cheers from the crowd!), Whirlies, ISTs, Michael Phelps, and SSHs. The Thang (aka The Pit and the Pendulum aka Greenspan’s Indecorum)…
Eight pax returned to a good WIB AO that has not been used in a minute. Pax: Root Canal, Rollback, Pollster, Bevo, Huckleberry, Lamb Chop, Tar Heel (EC), Greenspan Warmarama: SSHs, Abes, Whirlies, Up/Down Dawgs, Cherry Pies The Thang: Four stations around the parking lot, clustered on the Robinhood side in order to allow for…
TIME WASTERS. We started doing them, but apparently we were disturbing Cherry Pie’s carefully crafted morning, so we moved on. BEATDOWN. Each round: At the start point, do 5 No Cheat Burpees with a Clap. Mosey to your rock. If you pass a station without your rock do: 5 Mary Katherines 10 Elbow Spider…
I received a text from @LC on Monday morning asking if the notorious Workout in a Bag style beatdown was somewhat close to Thruway he would be able to make it. Firstly, this was a good reminder that I indeed had the Q to #WIB because YHC had not checked the calendar yet, so thanks…
What a great morning to gather at Reynolda Village for a combination of running and strength training. YHC was pleased to arrive and to see Pollster, Zima and Crash waiting. Not long after beginning warm-a-rama, CP arrived to make our group complete. I always keep a simple recipe when Q’ing WIB. Keep the heart rate…
