YHC gave the PAX a choice at the beginning of the beatdown. Covered, or non-covered? The plan for covered was to play with a deck of cards and bear crawl, lunge walk, merkin, and burpee our way around under the covered area. It would have been miserable. The PAX chose the uncovered option, since it…
It was bound to happen. WIB can be anywhere, so why not at Speas with TRQ? Had to do a little research on WIB (thanks BAM), and read a couple recent BB (simple and awful—got it!) then came up with a barely coherent and executed plan: 3 pain stations, and making use of rocks and…
YHC went and did the blockchain technology on this day at TRQ. All the PAX circled up for warmup, we did various things on the way back to the rocks then did the blockchain technology all the way around the area – pax carry a rock and the pax walk slowly, peloton style. The person…
In a surprise twist, I was the Q for TRQ this am, and boy, was that fun! Green Acres was kind enough to let me know that I had over committed, so here I was. Dusting off a frequently requested beatdown, I came prepared. Much to our wondering eyes did appear, but an FNG, Isaac,…
A dozen pax gathered for TRQ and got a quick update on prostate cancer screening during warmarama. Recent changes to guidelines suggest that men 55-69 should consult with their doctor and get a PSA test every 1-3 years. YHC is certainly glad for the test I requested that found cancer before it “escaped” the prostate…
A group of more-than-I-expected assembled on the grounds of Speas Global for a beatdown on 4/20. My playlist consisted of an eclectic mix ranging from Phish to Bob Dylan to Cypress Hill (which, sadly, we did not get to). I started the workout with the mission statement and (maybe for the first time at TRQ?)…
Always a good time at TRQ, so YHC tried to add a little spice to the fun by bringing some friends! As we all know, YHC doesn’t have any real friends, so have been reduced to calling my kettlebells my friends. Although, as Pony pointed out, since I hadn’t named them, I’m not even a…
This morning 9 pax with a dream of no running showed up to TRQ. It felt warmer and ten times more humid than it’s been in a hot minute. So what better way to celebrate. Warmarama- 20 SSH 20 imperial walker 6 Abe Vigoda then stretch out them hips 15 Forward, reverse arm swirly things…
Following five ECers returning from their jaunt up Polo, seven additional HIMs took the bait and joined YHC at TRQ. Warmarama: SSHs, Abe Vigoda, Down/Upward Dogs, Cherry Pies The Thang Mosey to planter bed. Partner up: Partner A: 10 squats Partner B: AMRAP dips Repeato x 3 Mosey to wall. BTTW crawl to opposite end. …
YHC arrived at the AO to find 4 other runners waiting. They preferred the term “people who were about to run”. Now, let’s chase Ultra Bam and Starfish down Polo and look for Green Acres. We got back to more cars and pax, more fistbumps and hugs. Everything you love to see. Let’ do this….
9 Pax showed up early, then right at 0530, Drip posted to make 10, and at 0531, Dr. Toot magically appeared because he heard he would be the 11th. What do you do when you have not posted in months and not Q’d in over a year? You create a workout where the pax help…
The day before TRQ, info was floating around on Slack about the Tapir-some strange animal. As YHC felt that this was sufficient knowledge for the week, no lesson was planned for TRQ. Thus nothing was learned today at TRQ! With Burlap coming in on 2 wheels but on time, we were off to the beatdown….
