A Few of My Favorite Things

Ahh, Julie Andrews in The Sound of Music… who could forget. For me, merkins are my slow jam, so we warmed up….. Zima was not 100% per his words, although his actions did not seem to back his words, so I did use my inside voice throughout the morning…

SSH x 20, Imperial Storm Troopers x 20, 5 burpees, 5 burpees, Abe Vigoda’s x 10 at lightening speed, Merkins x 20, Whirly’s Arm Swirly Things x 15 forward, x 14 backwards ( I love asymmetry).

So we moseyed to the parking lot with 18 parking lines….

Lunge walk to each line and squats x 2 at each line to the end of the parking lot. Now, go back to where we began by..

bear crawl to each line and do one merkin and repeat to the end of the parking lot.

So we moseyed to the track/field behind the school…..

10 burpees at one corner, run to the next corner for 10 merkins, monkey humpers, and plank jacks, run to the next corner for 20 merkins, monkey humpers, and plank jacks, run to the next corner fo 30 merkins, monkey humpers, and plank jacks, run to the beginning to do 10 burpees. Everyone did a great job of staying together, so we unwound by running in the opposite direction and…

10 burpees at the first corner, run to the next corner for 30 merkins, monkey humpers and plank jacks, run to the next corner for 20 merkins, monkey humpers, and plank jacks, run to the next corner for 10 merkins, monkey humpers, and plank jacks.

So we moseyed to the picnic tables in front of the school…..

10 dips, 5 merkins, 9 dips, 6 merkins, 8 dips, 7 merkins, 7 dips, 8 merkins, 6 dips, 9 merkins, 5 dips, 10 merkins.

We “jail break” ran back to the beginning and those picnic tables for…..

10 step ups for each leg, 20 seated squats, 10 step ups each leg, followed by wall sits while we did 10 Jack Reachers x 10 times. Balls to the Wall to failure. Finally time for Mary…

Box cutters x 10, Heels to Heaven x 10, and 5 merkins.

COT:

Stick with Palin this week for his Mom. It’s obvious that we love him.

Sign ups for The Bear tomorrow. Registration will probably fill up tomorrow.

Q took us out with a praise of His never ending, never ceasing, unconditional love for us all, so give it away since His love is overflowing.

NMM:

  • MY INSIDE VOICE IS VERY SOOTHING
  • 200 merkins and 50 burpees. I simply remember my favorite things, and then I don’t feel so sad…..
  • Light Brigade caught the fast holes on the jail break. Nice job.
  • Greenspan has steadily improved and consistently approaches Zima level results
  • Zima is still tougher………and grumpier than anyone else
  • Thistle is toughing it out with a nagging cough and does manage to keep the PAX together with his MC

Greenspan thanks for the keys. I left them on the tennis courts
